In August 2021, GENIDA engaged IDPs in Uganda and Cameroon towards its objective to
create a platform for inclusive IDP centered development of solutions to internal
displacement in Africa. It is important to note at the beginning of this report that the IDPs interviewed feared for their lives and for this reason requested that their names be withheld for security and other related reasons. This raises great concern and calls for more in-depth investigation to ascertain the extent of this threat to the right to life to IDPs not only in these countries but other countries as well. This report highlights the experiences, challenges and solutions proposed by IDPs in Selected IDP camps in Uganda and Cameroon.
